SiMn futures fluctuate downward, SiMn market slightly declines [SMM SiMn Futures Review]

On August 20, the SM2601 contract opened at 5,888 and finally closed at 5,836 yuan/mt, a decline of 2.24%, with the highest price at 5,888 yuan/mt and the lowest price at 5,806 yuan/mt. The trading volume was 232,175 lots, and the open interest was 282,128 lots. Cost side, the spot price of manganese ore decreased, but the decline was limited, and the cost support for SiMn alloy remained strong. Spot side, the spot price of silicon manganese decreased today. Futures side, the SiMn futures price fluctuated downward today, and the market cooled somewhat. Demand side, HBIS raised its pricing, and attention still needs to be paid to the impact of steel mill production restrictions on silicon manganese.
